The Cubist Library, created by J. Gočár in 1912-13, was a design that shocked audiences at the time and continues to do so today with its enduring appeal and uniqueness. One reason for this is the balanced proportions of the piece, which we believe was not always exclusive to J. Gočár's furniture designs. Though relatively small, the library is still visually striking and attractive. Constructed primarily of solid oak with some veneer, the museum in Hradec Králové owns the original library. The choice of stain is optional.
