For more than 68 years, the Stiffel Lamp Company was known for producing high-quality lamps with both innovative and classical designs. The company was founded by Ted Stiffel, an artist and designer, in Chicago, Illinois in 1932. Stiffel and his team crafted lamps with unique foil signatures made from pewter, brass, and bronze. One of their most popular creations was the Stiffel pole lamp, which featured a vertical tube with rotating lamp fixtures outside of the tube. This lamp was a precursor to modern track lighting and had a hidden on/off switch located in the middle bar, which could be controlled by moving the bar up and down. The decorative molding under the lampshade added a touch of elegance to the overall design, making it resemble a piece of jewelry. This lamp was a perfect example of the Hollywood Regency 1950s style by Stiffel.
