The American writing desk was created during the first half of the 20th century and is constructed from solid oak and oak veneer. The table has been restored, with the wood stained brown and varnished. On the left side of the desk, there are two original brass fittings that make it easier to open the top, as well as a key that locks the blind. The maker's Fa Jerry Trade Mark is still visible. On the right side of the desk, there are four drawers, with the first one divided into compartments for better organization of correspondence and stationery. This desk can still be used today, or the partitions can be removed if desired. Additionally, there is a smaller pull-out plate underneath the main work surface to increase the available workspace.
